On Friday, February 23, 2024, Putnam County Sheriff’s Office Deputies received information regarding 30-year-old Matthew Cole Gentry of Belton TX residing at a local motel. Gentry is a registered sex offender who has been trying to elude the requirements of his conviction by moving to another state and not registering as prescribed by law. Deputies responded to the location and successfully made contact with Gentry.
Gentry was arrested and charged with Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. Gentry has a bond of S5,000 and a court date set for April 8, 2024.
On Saturday, February 24, 2024, Putnam County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, assisted by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, received information regarding the whereabouts of 37-year-old William Gregory Mills, who has been eluding sex offender registration for approximately two years and has pled to seven sex offender registry violations since 2018.
Mills was arrested on his outstanding warrants and charged with Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, and Juvenile Capias. Mills has a bond of $50,000 and a court date of March 18, 2024. (Images courtesy PCSO)
