McMinnville, TN — The spirit of giving that Kelly Marlowe, affectionately known as Pa Kelly, brought to life over two decades ago continues to shine brightly in our community. Started in 1998, the Kelly Marlowe Memorial Nursing Home Christmas Program is a heartfelt tradition that ensures nursing home residents without family are not forgotten during the holiday season. Through this initiative, gifts are provided to residents, bringing them joy and a sense of connection at a time that can feel especially lonely.
WBMC’s Pa Kelly dedicated his time and energy to bringing warmth to these residents, and his legacy lives on through the kindness of community members who continue to support the program. As we approach this holiday season, donations are being collected directly for two local nursing homes:
- NHC HealthCare, located at 928 Old Smithville Rd.
- Willow Branch, located at 415 Pace St.
Friday (11/15), during WBMC’s Town Talk, we will discuss the origins and impact of the program, sharing stories of Pa Kelly’s vision and dedication to making a difference. Community members will have the opportunity to reflect on his influence and learn how they can contribute to keeping his legacy alive.
The Kelly Marlowe Memorial Nursing Home Christmas Program reminds us all of the importance of compassion and giving. By coming together, we can continue to bring joy to those who need it most, just as Pa Kelly intended.
For more information or to make a donation, visit one of the listed nursing homes, and join us in spreading holiday cheer to those who deserve it.
